We are free from mysticism and the supernatural.
We put no trust in superstitions and we seek no miracles."

Foundations and Organizations
Freedom From Religion Foundation
A national association of nontheists has been working since 1978 to promote freethought and defend the constitutional principle of the separation of state and church. With 12,000 members and supporters, we are the largest group of atheists and agnostics in North America. The Foundation has taken the lead in successfully challenging the faith-based initiative. You might recognize them from a magazine ad or billboard.
American Humanist Association
Strategically located in Washington, DC, the AHA actively educates the public about Humanism, brings Humanists together for mutual support and action, defends the civil liberties and constitutional freedoms of Humanists-indeed of all peoples-and leads both local and national Humanist organizations toward progressive societal change.
The Secular Web - Infidels.org
A nonprofit educational organization dedicated to defending and promoting a naturalistic worldview on the Internet. In the words, of Paul Draper, naturalism "is the hypothesis that the physical universe is a 'closed system' in the sense that nothing that is neither a part nor a product of it can affect it. So naturalism entails the nonexistence of all supernatural beings, including the theistic God."
Secular Coalition for America
The mission of the Secular Coalition for America is to increase the visibility and respectability of nontheistic viewpoints in the United States and to protect and strengthen the secular character of our government as the best guarantee of freedom for all. The Secular Coalition for America is a 501(c)4 advocacy organization whose purpose is to amplify the diverse and growing voice of the nontheistic community in the United States. We are located in Washington, D.C. for ready access to government, activist partners and the media.
Richard Dawkins Foundation for Science and Reason
The enlightenment is under threat. So is reason. So is truth. So is science, especially in the schools of America. He is one of those scientists who feels that it is no longer enough just to get on and do science. We have to devote a significant proportion of our time and resources to defending it from deliberate attack from organized ignorance. We even have to go out on the attack ourselves, for the sake of reason and sanity. But it must be a positive attack, for science and reason have so much to give. They are not just useful; they enrich our lives in the same kind of way as the arts do. Promoting science as poetry was one of the things that Carl Sagan did so well, and he aspires to continue his tradition.
Activism
The OUT Campaign
Atheists have always been at the forefront of rational thinking and beacons of enlightenment, and now you can share your idealism by being part of the OUT Campaign. Atheists are far more numerous than most people realize. COME OUT of the closet! You'll feel liberated, and your example will encourage others to COME OUT too. (Don't "out" anybody else, wait for them to OUT themselves when they are ready to do so).
First Freedom First
Established in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, religious liberty -- the right of individuals to worship or not -- was and is a defining American value. Often referred to as the "first freedom," this constitutionally guaranteed right is the foundation for the separation of church and state. This separation protects us from undue religious influence in government and undue government intervention in religion and private decision-making. We recognize that the wall separating government and religion is being eroded, and so is our right to make personal decisions. Sign the Petition!
There are plenty of great resources out there, and they aren't too hard to find. This is just a short list of the organizations that are most important to us. You should be able to find just about every other major secular, humanist, or atheist organization through any of these links.
